What more could one want than an awesome God, a loving family, sweet friends and a heart full of love and forgiveness? Well for me, I need a good cleansing every now and then. I get all dirtied up with the things of this world, the day to day cares that take my mind away from Christ and leave me in need of a good washing.
As I sit here with Noah (my sweet boy) watching the rain fall outside our kitchen windows, I am reminded that all things need washing once in a while ... and more often in most cases. We all go through life with trials and struggles that can shake us to the core. But instead of wasting that pain, instead of growing bitter with age; why not use them for good as God intended. There is a quote that says "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." I think the Lord says it best in Romans 8:28 where He says "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose."
I want to enjoy this life I have been given, to treasure it as the gift it was meant to be ~ a beautiful gift from the Lord! I could let the many things of this life drive me into sadness and possibly despair, but why? Why go purposely to a place of loneliness when all around me is a special gift given to me by the Savior. I have a life filled with happiness and joy, contentment and love, forgiveness and grace. Why not leave the trials of this day in the Lord's Hands, knowing full well HIS desire to carry them for me, Matthew 11:30, For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Let it give you and I the strength needed to accomplish what is needed this day.
